ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hi, I'm Marijn Vink. I'm an artist and co-founder of Enkel Art Studio. a creative space I built with Esther Rozendal, which has grown into a vibrant community of over 38,000 art lovers. We shared this journey with joy and creativity, but now it’s time for a new chapter: my own artistic path.
I felt a deep call for a new challenge, one that allows me to fully step into my voice and vision. My passion lies in creating soulful, layered artwork that speaks to the human experience and in sharing that with the world. I paint with soul and intuition, led by the stories I encounter: women supporting each other, the emotions that stay with me, and the colors I collect while traveling. These impressions flow together into bold works that pulse with energy and warmth.
THE ATELIER
My studio is my sacred space. It’s where I let go and listen to what wants to be expressed. I work intuitively chasing a feeling more than a form. My tools are heavy brushes, warm tones, raw edges. My materials: acrylic on paper and wood panel, chosen for their structure and presence.
My work allows me to translate invisible energy into something tangible. Here, I capture not perfection, but presence. The little imperfections, the emotional residue, the traces of the maker that's what makes art real. It's my sanctuary for expressing the unspoken.
MY ARTIST STORY
I grew up in a small house in the forest. We had no television, but we had a kitchen table overflowing with pencils, brushes, and paint. My childhood unfolded in a state of creative flow: drawing, building, and bringing my ideas to life for hours on end.
At seventeen, I entered art school and began my creative path. I went on to develop interior products, take on art direction for children’s television, and worked as a print and pattern designer for interior brands.Whatever the medium, creativity was always my compass.
I believe in art as a form of resistance against the artificial and the polished. In a world of AI generated visuals and surface level perfection, my work is a return to the real, the raw, the human.Through visible brushstrokes, organic forms, and the subtle traces of the human hand that give a piece its soul.
My mission is to create art that connects to yourself, to others, to something bigger.
With love, Marijn
