Definitions
The following definitions apply to these terms and conditions:
Withdrawal period: the period within which a consumer may exercise their right of withdrawal;
Customer: any legal entity or natural person acting in the course of a profession or business;
Consumer: a natural person not acting in the course of a profession or business;
Day: calendar day;
Right of withdrawal: the right of a consumer to withdraw from a distance agreement within the withdrawal period;
Distance agreement: an agreement concluded between marijnvink.com and a consumer using means of distance communication.
Article 1 – General
These terms and conditions apply to all offers made by marijnvink.com and to every distance agreement between marijnvink.com and a consumer. By placing an order or booking a workshop, you agree to these terms. The current version is always available on our website. Questions can be directed to hello@marijnvink.com
Article 2 – The offer
All product descriptions and images are as accurate as possible. marijnvink.com is not bound by obvious errors or mistakes in the offer. If an offer has a limited validity period or conditions attached, this will be explicitly stated.
Article 3 – The agreement
An agreement is concluded when the consumer accepts the offer and all conditions are met. marijnvink.com confirms receipt of the order electronically. The consumer may cancel the order as long as marijnvink.com has not yet confirmed acceptance.
Article 4 – Products and Workshops
Art prints
Art prints are made especially for you after you place your order. While made-to-order products may in certain circumstances be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal under Dutch law, marijnvink.com voluntarily offers a 14-day return period. You may return your print within 14 days of receiving it. Return shipping costs are at your own expense.
If a print arrives damaged or contains a production error, please report this as soon as possible via hello@marijnvink.com and include clear photographs of the damage or error. If the product does not conform to the agreement, the consumer retains all statutory rights. marijnvink.com will assess the report and provide an appropriate solution, such as replacement or refund.
Original canvas works
Original handmade works on canvas are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. The consumer has the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason, unless the work was created on commission according to the consumer's individual specifications.
To exercise this right, the consumer must notify marijnvink.com within 14 days of receipt via hello@marijnvink.com. The work must then be returned within 14 days of this notification. The consumer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the work.
The work should be returned carefully and securely packaged. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the applicable statutory withdrawal rules.
Workshops
Workshops offered by marijnvink.com take place on a specific date and time at the studio. Because these are leisure activities provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to workshop bookings.
A workshop booking is therefore final once the booking has been confirmed.
If you are unable to attend, please contact hello@marijnvink.com as soon as possible. Where possible, marijnvink.com may allow you to transfer your booking to another person or move your booking to another available workshop date. Any such change is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
If a workshop is cancelled by marijnvink.com, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the amount paid.
Article 5 – Right of withdrawal — withdrawal form
If you wish to withdraw from a purchase of an original canvas work, please complete the form below and send it to hello@marijnvink.com:

This right does not apply to art prints (produced on demand) or commissioned works.
Article 6 – Pricing
All prices include VAT where applicable. marijnvink.com reserves the right to change prices at any time, except for orders already placed and confirmed.
Article 7 – Delivery
Art prints are produced and shipped via an external print partner. Delivery times are estimates and depend on the consumer's location. marijnvink.com is not liable for delays caused by the carrier or customs. In the event of significant delay or non-delivery, the consumer will be informed promptly and is entitled to cancel the order and receive a full refund.
Original canvas works are shipped with care within 5 working days of purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
Article 8 – Payment
Payment is due at the time of ordering via the available payment methods. The consumer must immediately report any inaccuracies in payment details. In the event of late or failed payment, marijnvink.com reserves the right to suspend or cancel the order.
Article 9 – Retention of title
All delivered items remain the property of Marijn Vink until full payment has been received.
Article 10 – Warranty
marijnvink.com is liable for material defects in accordance with applicable Dutch law. The statutory warranty period is two years from the date of delivery.
Article 11 – Complaints
Complaints must be submitted as soon as possible, fully and clearly described, via hello@marijnvink.com. marijnvink.com aims to respond within 14 days. If a complaint cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the consumer may contact the relevant Dutch dispute resolution body.
Article 12 – Online dispute resolution
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform for consumers. This platform can be used for the out-of-court settlement of disputes arising from online purchases. The platform is accessible at: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
marijnvink.com will always endeavour to resolve disputes amicably in the first instance.
Article 13 – Intellectual property
All artwork, images, prints, visual elements and graphic designs created by Marijn Vink are protected by copyright and remain her exclusive property. This includes but is not limited to monoprints, pattern designs, digital visuals and photography published on this website or any associated social media channels.
Any reproduction, distribution, commercial use, or derivative work — whether by consumers, third parties or former collaborators — without prior written permission of Marijn Vink is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Purchasing a print or original work does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the buyer. The buyer acquires the physical object only.
Article 14 – Privacy
marijnvink.com processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR. Personal data is used solely for the execution of the agreement and will not be shared with third parties without consent. See our Privacy Policy for further information.
Article 15 – Liability
marijnvink.com is not liable for damage resulting from the use of products beyond their intended purpose, improper handling, or circumstances beyond her control. Liability is in all cases limited to the purchase price of the product or service in question.
Article 16 – Governing law
All agreements between marijnvink.com and the consumer are governed exclusively by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
Article 17 – Changes
marijnvink.com reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The most current version is always available on the website. Continued use of the website after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
